Green screen is a technique that superimposes an individual such as a presenter, singer, actor or musician on to any background. Using computer software, people or objects can be placed into a virtual newsroom, TV studio, a street scene or anywhere else.
If you have company products or services that you want to market, an extremely cost effective way of doing this is through video marketing. YouTube, Vimeo and other similar sites are great vehicles to do this. We will go through some of these marketing methods and how to implement them.
Our training course explains green screen techniques in a simple and a jargon free manner.The course begins with an overview of how green screen works, what Chroma key production consists of and what equipment is used in a green screen studio.
In our own green screen studio you will learn the techniques involved in the green screen industry. With a hands-on approach we will show you some useful plugins and software packages that will help you achieve a clean and convincing key for your footage.
Our one day introduction also includes 2, 3, 4 and 5 point lighting principles for lighting your subject, the best types of lighting available (for example continuous/flash/LED/Tungsten/fluorescent) and what works best in what conditions.
We will also cover what different types of green screens are available and how they compare with each other as well as how best to use consumer and prosumer DV and HD cameras to achieve the best footage for green screen usage.
We will give you unique tips, tricks and insider knowledge to ensure that by the end of the course you will have a comprehensive overview of how best to get the most of your green screen studio setup and achieve high quality result on an affordable budget.
In the afternoon we concentrate on green screen plugins and how to achieve the very best keying results possible. We examine some of the most popular programs used for this purpose including Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and Adobe After effects.
By the end of the course you will be fully trained to import, key and export your video to YouTube or Vimeo and to achieve professional results comparable to those achieved on more expensive setups.
The course takes place in our own green screen studio facility located in St Albans.
